Sacheon has cultivated professional aviation human
resources through the Korea Aerospace Industries,
as well as the Korea Aviation Polytechnic College,
which is an institution for specialized education
in aviation. Also with the Sacheon Airport and the
Third Aviation Training Corps located here, it is
the sole high-tech aerospace industry mecca in the
country.
Furthermore, in the nearby Jinju City, there are the
Gyeong Sang National University College of Aerospace
& Mechanical Engineering, Research Center for
Aircraft Parts Technology, Air Force Education and
Training Command, and the ROK Air Force Technical
High School, as well as the Kyeongnam Aviation High
